The safety and health of our employees and volunteers are very important to the City of Lewiston. In 2017 the City joined an RSG (Regional Safety Group) through the League of MN Cities. The group is lead by the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association who provide staff to train the group on important safety topics. The RSG is made up of the City of Lewiston, City of Chatfield, and City of Spring Valley. We meet 6 times per year and train on a number of required OSHA Safety Topics. The representative on the safety committee for Lewiston is Matt Essig who also serves as the City’s Safety Coordinator and Ambulance Director.
